We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer. This position will be based at our Buffalo Grove, IL location.

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Siemens, you will play a key role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring the highest level of product quality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and use your expertise to lead and innovate in various aspects of our manufacturing operations.

+ Process Optimization : Responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Use of advanced tools and techniques like Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and automation to achieve these goals.

+ Product Development : Play a key role in the development of new products, working closely with design and R&D teams to ensure that products can be manufactured efficiently and cost-effectively. Lead the transition of new products from design to production, ensuring smooth and cost-effective manufacturing processes.

+ Quality Assurance : Ensuring product quality and reliability is a critical aspect of the role. Develop and implement quality control and assurance measures to maintain high product standards.

+ Automation and Technology : Leverage your knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies, such as robotics, CNC machining, 3D printing, and Industry 4.0 concepts, to improve manufacturing processes.

+ Cost Management : Focus on cost reduction strategies, including materials optimization, labor efficiency, and waste reduction.

+ Project Management : Lead or contribute to cross-functional teams, managing complex manufacturing projects from concept to completion.

+ Regulatory Compliance : They ensure that manufacturing processes adhere to industry and government regulations, particularly in highly regulated industries like aerospace, healthcare, and automotive.

+ Supply Chain Integration : Collaborating with supply chain and logistics teams to streamline the flow of materials and components throughout the production process.

+ Safety : Ensure that manufacturing processes adhere to safety standards

+ Training : Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and production staff.

+ Product Labeling: Product and shipping label design and maintenance. Process owner for label management and expert of BarTender software, also working with laser printing.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.

+ 3+ years of experience in a high-level manufacturing engineering role.

+ In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management, and continuous improvement methodologies.

+ Proficiency in using CAD and CAM software.

+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

+ Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

+ Team player with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

+ Commitment to safety and sustainability in manufacturing.

Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 5+ years of experience in a high-level manufacturing engineering role

+ Lean Six Sigma certification

+ Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing software.

+ Experience with robotics/automation

+ Experience with BarTender software or equivalent

+ The pay range for this position is $79,700 – $136,700. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
