National Buying Services is the department dedicated to acquiring the goods that our ALDI customers count on. Beyond working to secure quality products at the lowest possible prices through our Buying and support teams (Administration, Pricing / E-commerce, Merchandising, Market Research and Analytics), our teams ensure we are providing the best value and quality in everything we do.

As a Business Partner Enablement Team Specialist, you will work with external Business Partners to provide support and technical expertise on existing software solutions and business processes. This position will also liaise with multiple areas of the business, both nationally and internationally. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone willing to work in a team setting, bringing positive energy, with exceptional verbal and written communication and problem solving skills. Strong business relationship management is a main driver for success in this role.

Position Type: Full-Time

Work Location: Aurora, IL

This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Evaluates current business partner processes and programs, identifying opportunities for additional business partner training and communications.

- Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.

- Consults with Buying teams on business partner performance and progress.

- Recommends process improvements for area of responsibility.

- Provides second-level support for business partner applications and processes and acts as a trusted advisor for creation and updates.

- Troubleshoots and resolves business partner incidents and requests based on contextual clues and existing business knowledge.

- Documents troubleshooting and resolution steps and identifies opportunities to shift business partner support to first-level.

- Escalates incidents and requests to appropriate internal personnel or external vendors when further expertise is required.

- Reinforces and drives business initiatives by providing first-level escalation support.

- Assists with national and international project delivery, including documentation, testing, training, and deployment for software solutions.

- Liaises with internal departments regarding software and process updates, questions, concerns, and suggestions.

- Works closely with internal departments impacting supplier relations to develop subject matter knowledge.

- Communicates software and process updates through available mediums including formal business letters, e-mails, and webinars.

- Fulfills department and international reporting requests based on defined cadence.

- Creates new reports based on expertise of available data to satisfy ad hoc business requests.

- Audits system information and department tasks to ensure standard procedures are followed and specific level of data integrity is achieved.

- Attends meetings and trainings for system and processes.

- Attends international meetings when appropriate.

- Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.

- Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility.

- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field required.

- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a business environment required.

- Knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange, SAP Ariba and P360 software preferred.

- Communication and training experience preferred.

- Familiarity with ServiceNow incident management preferred.

- Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

- Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.

- Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.

- Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.

- Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.

Travel:

- Local travel required.

- Up to 10%.
