Job Description

Purpose:

This position is an entry level maintenance position. This role will serve as a primary resource on preventive and demand maintenance activities within their current skill set while supporting Senior technicians with more advanced tasks.

Responsibilities:

+ Adhere to AbbVie’s Code of Business Conduct

+ Understands and follows all GMP and Safety regulations.

+ Manage and oversee lubrication program by scheduling and completing lubrication PM workload.

+ Lubricate specified equipment following the instructions on weekly lube routes or PM work orders.

+ Check oil levels and change oil on equipment specified on Lube routes or PM/DM work orders.

+ Identify bearing types and understand proper methods of lubrication, utilize sonic technology to identify distinct sound quality and the need for bearing lubrication.

+ Work with Environmental groups scheduling and performing LDAR inspections/tasks.

+ Manage lubricant delivery, storage and dispensation to ensure cleanliness of lubricant.

+ Properly maintain automatic lubrication systems (auto-grew, mist systems, etc…).

+ Checks couplings and belts for signs of wear. If equipment is in need of repair, generate a work order to repair/have it repaired.

+ Perform inspections on lubricant bulk storage containers to ensure compliance with Spill Prevention.

+ Assist Maintenance Mechanics with general tasks (e.g. safety watches) and in your area of responsibility as directed when the need for a lubricator is required.

+ Redline Lubrication job plans as needed when changes are identified and provide them to the appropriate personnel within the maintenance department to route the changes in the CMMS.

+ Work with Sr Level Technicians across several areas of Maintenance to build a diverse, multi-craft foundation for their career in the Skilled Trades with the intent of building skills and developing into a higher-level Technician.

Qualifications

+ Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools and ability to apply proper hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting.

+ HS diploma with 0+ yrs. experience or Relevant Certificate. Completion or current enrollment in a formal technical school program related to Industrial Maintenance desired.

+ Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
