Job Description
About the role
The Application Specialist III is responsible for leading strategic business initiatives of Amcor through the execution of large projects and intricate support activities for one or more functional areas.This role possesses full technical knowledge of systems analysis phases as well as considers the business implications of other applications by evaluating current & future business impacts. This position also acts as a strategic bridge between information technology and business stakeholders by understanding business problems, change needs, assessing the business impact of those problems/changes, capturing, analysing, and documenting requirements, configuring the application, partnering with developers, establishing test strategies, and supporting the communication and delivery of requirements with relevant stakeholders.

Key Job Accountabilities
Leads strategic projects that drive value (cost improvement and/or top line growth)
Manage large IT projects, effectively applying the Amcor project Management Methodology with accountability for milestones while engaging and leading appropriate Project Team Members (IT and Business). Responsible for defining project requirements, project scope, timeline, resources, obtaining Business and IT agreement on these items prior to project start
Partner in building the logical architecture diagrams for the system you support, including landscape management while also understanding the physical architecture and landscape components
Establish to-be solution alternatives with recommendations and participates on the best approach to pilot and deploy solutions
Fully understand and apply the Amcor System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process when executing system modifications through the effective translation of business requirements into IT solution design. Ensuring all implications of the request have been considered, reviewed, and documented.
Lead the writing of functional requirements, configures, develops test plans and scripts, conducts component, integration, and user acceptance tests
Adhere to Amcor change control and SDLC processes
Work with development resources to confirm the requirement is being met while evaluating the effectiveness of the solution and makes necessary adjustments before full deployment
Ensure architected solutions meets scalability, availability & meets service level agreements in production
Lead data conversion, data validation efforts, cut over activities, and post live support for system implementations
Manage advanced production support issues and service requests using ServiceNow while committing to timely resolution adhering to SLAs
