Job Overview

The Team Lead must be flexible to all aspects of the warehouse functions. They must demonstrate the ability to lead, plan, organize, delegate, and control the day to day operations of the warehouse. Flexibility to work overtime is required.

A Day In The Life

Able to have subject matter expertise in all areas of the warehouse, including but not limited to LTL, Retail, VAS, and small parcel areas
Provide front-line employee relations support and escalate more serious concerns/issues to facility supervisor, manager, and/or HR
Demonstrate ability to effectively delegate daily work and resources
Train, coach, and guide employees to achieve continuous improvement
Assist Warehouse Trainers with training of all associates including new hires
Ensure compliance of all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Monitor WMS to ensure all scheduled shipments are picked in a timely manner
Research and analyze problems; determine and implement corrections
Utilize WMS to ensure all materials are receipted, put away, and discrepancies are reported to Shipping & Receiving Team in a timely manner
Process orders to completion in WMS to ensure accurate shipment of orders
Identify any missing, lost, or damaged materials and immediately notify a supervisor
Ensure that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping
Participate in team and safety meetings
Maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the facility through the 5's methodology and daily housekeeping
Complete daily reports, as needed, in a timely and accurate manner
Support the leadership team in projects and assignments as needed

What will help you thrive in this role?

Must be 18 years of age by the start of the position
1-2 years' experience in a high-volume distribution center is required
Working knowledge of Blue Yonder or Red Prairie is desired
Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Demonstrate ability to safely operate standup forklift is required
Demonstrate ability to interact and communicate well within all levels of the organization
Capable of handling multiple tasks at once
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrate ability to adjust to sudden changes in operational goals/demands
Have strong attention to detail and be results-oriented
Able to be a team player, maintain a positive attitude, and lead by example
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred

Physical Requirements

Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor
Able to walk, hear, see, and have full use of both hands
Able to perform work for a minimum of eight hours in a fast-paced environment
