Your Role:
Owns the development, implementation, communication and administration of total compensation programs that attract, retain and empower employees at Baxter
Crafts broad-based compensation plans that are consistent with market trends, internal equity, a "pay for performance" philosophy and the company's business and HR priorities.
Leads global compensation projects as well as providing compensation support to the United States and Canada.
What You'll Be Doing:
Participate in strategy-setting and prioritization of broad-based compensation processes.
Keep up to date of standard processes, vendor offerings, and market trends. Translate this information into improved strategy and processes for Baxter.
Design, plan, coordinate and implement compensation structures for salaried and/or hourly jobs.
Run Q1 global annual compensation process in Workday (salary increases, MICP/local incentives and equity).
Responsible for leading all aspects of all operations related to compensation administration including market pricing and survey processes, ensuring alignment with global market pricing strategy.
Set standards for job descriptions and data collection to facilitate job evaluations and market pricing.
Leads resources, timing, and processes for significant HR projects.
Provide expertise to Business HR and the business as appropriate.
Ensure compensation and incentive programs and policies are in compliance with local laws and regulations.
Ensure updates to compensation plans are configured accurately in Workday through partnership with internal HR Operations team and third-party vendorWhat You Need:
Requires an undergraduate degree or country equivalent related experience and 7+ years of broad compensation and/or human resources experience.
At least five years in employee, salary and/or hourly compensation program design and implementation.
Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills.
Extensive experience with HR technology applications (Workday preferred) required
Business insight - Understands the business and how salaried/hourly compensation should be aligned to support business objectives. Understand how compensation contributes to bottom line results.
Span of knowledge - Must have a broad knowledge of employee compensation and incentives.
Leadership skills - Strong project management, organizational change, facilitative and consulting skills.
Analytical skills - Strong analytical skills using both qualitative and quantitative data.
Strategic influencing skills - Ability to establish effective relationships with Business HR, HR Operations and vendors to ensure salaried/hourly compensation and incentive programs meet needs of the business.
Cultural skills - Ability to understand business issues and cultural differences and apply that knowledge to salaried/hourly compensation and incentive design and processes.
Technology acumen - Ability to understand potential of technology solutions and implications for driving cost optimization and process standardization.
Technical acumen - Must understand the salaried / hourly compensation, trends, market practices and legal requirements
