Job Description

Burwood Group, Inc. seeks a Solution Architect in Chicago, IL (telecommuting can be performed from anywhere in the U.S.; 20% of domestic travel required throughout the U.S.) to lead the architecture and strategy process, defining requirements, phases, and creating designs during the project execution. Provide strong technical oversite and subject matter expertise during the delivery phase. Bridge the gap between business problems and technology solutions. Determine the best solution among all possible to solve the existing business problems. Provide specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered. Act as a mentor, coach, and escalation point for all project resources. Partner with the Sales team and Practice Directors to drive services sales within the practices and build a pipeline. Work with the Practice Directors to further develop the workgroup resources and team development. Drive process improvement, delivery efficiency, and project profitability.

Minimum requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, plus 7 years of experience working as a solution architect and/or solution engineer. Additionally, position requires experience with each of the following:

1. 5 years of experience with Cisco;
2. 7 years of experience with presales;
3. 3 years of experience with Cloud technologies;
4. 7 years of Networking experience;
5. 7 years of Consulting experience;
6. Cisco Certification required.

In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, employer will accept educational equivalency evaluation
prepared by qualified evaluation service in accordance with 8 CFR § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(d).
