Job Description

This is an FLSA non-exempt position under general and/or immediate supervision of IT Director or Assistant IT Director.  The PC/Network Technician will support and maintain in-house computer systems, peripherals, servers, network components and devices, audio/visual, video conferencing, and phone equipment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware, software and equipment while ensuring optimal performance of, but not limited to, desktop/laptop/tablet hardware and software; peripherals and network connections; distribution of hardware and software upgrades; software service pack and patch application; virus detection and elimination; setup and configuration of PCs in accordance with client and network requirements. The employee will troubleshoot technical problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training and assistance where required. PC/Network Technicians are responsible for providing basic desktop and LAN support services to all City of Pueblo departments including Public Safety. May perform technical duties related to system support and administration for server applications.
