Position Summary:
The Production Planner is the focal point for all supply chain activities. The planner supports execution of assigned value stream and coordination of new program / product launches. The Production Planner leads with reporting of key performance indicators, performance data, and miscellaneous metrics. The Production Planner will identify and escalate issues as necessary. Material movement and project status will also be coordinated by planner

Production Planner will plan, prepare, issue and control material requirements in conjunction with the production schedule. Planner will support risk management activities impacting the value chain working with cross-functional teams. The planner ensures that shipments are accomplished to maintain internal Revenue, Customer on-time, and Inventory commitments. Production Planner will utilize Oracle MRP and process tools to achieve program / functional goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead assigned value stream by driving cross functional solutions to meet revenue goals, constraint, and material shortage resolution.
Assume a leadership role for assigned value streams including backorder reduction and coordinating activities with other cross functional teams.
Plan and fully understand the monthly (Production Plan) for specific assigned value streams.
Lead and/or participates in cross-functional project teams related to planning and purchasing initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
Releases and manages production work orders in accordance with MRP, Kanban signals, production plan goals and related planning data.
Places and manages production purchase orders in accordance with MRP, Kanban signals, production plan goals and related planning data.
Manage, monitor, and update Oracle MRP Parameters for assigned value streams and production cells.
Works closely with manufacturing and suppliers to prioritize, expedite and de-expedite work orders and purchase orders based on material availability, department resources, changing requirements and customer service requirements.
Participates in the new product development process for key strategic products and manages all aspects of supply chain planning at the new product team level.
Have strong working knowledge and apply of all aspects of planning/pull systems and MRP concepts such as time fences, demand input, consumption rules, AMU, and projected balance calculations and to be... For full info follow application link.
