Job Description
Position Highlights:
Position: Assessment Specialist I
Location: LOH Naperville
Per diem
Hours: As needed
Assesses the clinical needs of customers seeking behavioral health services and provides treatment referrals which are consistent with the customer's medical and psychiatric status/symptoms
What you will need:
Required Education, Skills and/or Experience:
Master's Degree or a higher in a behavioral health field
A high level of communication skills is required in order interact effectively with others in very difficult situations
Knowledge of DSM5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) diagnostic criteria, ICD10 and interqual standards
A minimum of one year of previous assessment experience
Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience in crisis/emergency services, behavioral health setting
Knowledge of patient rights and law pertaining to mental health
Required License/Certificate:
Current State of Illinois e.g. Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Professional Counselor)
LPC, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Profession Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Current State of Illinois driver's license required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an alternate location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
CPI certification is required within 90 days of employment
Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross within 90 days of employment
