Position Highlights:
Position: Research Manager
Location: Evanston, IL (primary)
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week
Required Travel: Some travel between Endeavor locations will be required

What you will do:
This individual partners with multiple physicians, staff and the Research Institute to oversee studies in the Clinical Research Unit, which currently includes Neurology, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, and Psychiatry Research Projects
Establishes timelines and goals for projects and tracks metrics
Ensures all IRB submissions are accurate and study procedures and institutional policies are followed
Oversees and manages research finances including grants and special purpose funding for the department
Onboards, trains, mentors and manages all research personnel including Research Nurses, Research Assistants, Research Coordinators, and Clinical Research Associates in the department.
Oversees and manages all clinical trial activities including IRB submissions completed by research staff, drafting of study budgets, Clinical Trial Agreements, coverage analysis, monitoring, annual progress reports, study terminations and the retention of records
Serves as a content expert, answers questions from sponsors about clinical research activities and facilitates interactions between potential sponsors and investigators.
Assists in onboarding of new investigators

What you will need:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a health-related focus of study required
Masters in sciences preferred
Certification:
CCRP or ACRP certification is required
CITI Human Subject Research, Good Clinical Practice and Financial Conflict of Interest certifications required
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of clinical research operations experience with thorough understanding of all research processes including regulatory and data management
Minimum of three years drafting and managing sponsored budgets and grant budgets (federal and non-federal) preferred
Experience with grant writing and publications is preferred.
Protocol writing experience preferred
Neurology background preferred
Previous supervisory or management experience is strongly preferred
Skills:
Broad knowledge and understanding of the clinical trial process
Highly organized and detail oriented
Computer literacy and experience with applications such as Microsoft Office
Strong oral and written communication skills
