Location: Chicago, IL
Part time
Hours: Mondays 1:45-6pm, Tuesdays 1:45-8pm, Thursdays 1:45-5pm

What you will do:
Welcomes all members and guests that walk into Galter Life Center and provides outstanding customer service and satisfaction. Responsible for checking members and guests into the facility and provides general information about programs and services. Enables easy, convenient access to the services they need in a friendly, efficient and timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates a commitment to the mission of Galter LifeCenter and demonstrates a service orientation and adheres to all responsibilities and standards of the LifeCenter.
Provide Customer Service to members and guests
Greet every member and/or guest that enters and exits the facility.
Swipe/Enter each member or guest into the facility and verify that membership information is accurate.
Provide general information about classes, programs, services, special promotions, and answer inquiries via telephone or in person. Direct inquires/questions to the appropriate person if not familiar or unable to assist.
Be able to conduct a tour of the facility and answer general membership questions.
Computer and Register skills
Complete register sale transactions for products and services and take membership payments.
Update basic member information including: address, email, phone and credit cards in CSI software.
Follow register procedures at the beginning and end of each shift, verify amount in drawer is accurate and document any discrepancies.
Stay familiar with any updates to register buttons and special discounts/promotions.
Internal/external communications
Answers high volume of incoming calls promptly, courteously, and transfers calls to appropriate personnel
Responsible for opening and closing the facility including arming and disarming the burglar alarm. (Opening/Closing Shifts)
Responsible for clear and accurate internal overhead/handheld communication.
Communicates any facility or program updates to members and guests as requested or when available
Remain current in position knowledge
Reads memo binder on a regular basis
Maintains knowledge of programs and services and seeks additional information when needed
Stays current with safety and emergency procedures/regulations
Attends departmental & "All Staff" staff meetings
Other Responsibilities
Maintains proper work appearance and safety of environment
Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma
Must be at least 18 years of age
Prior Customer Service/Desk Operations experience
