Position Details:
The Senior Manager, Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) reports to the VP, Associate General Counsel, Global Commercial Operations, and works collaboratively across the business to support Grainger's ESG strategy and program to deliver and report on ESG progress.

You Will:
Coordinate with leaders and subject matter experts across the enterprise to support Grainger's position on priority ESG topics including, but not limited to, energy & emissions, customer sustainability solutions, and supplier diversity.
Create internal and external reporting on our program and progress, including materials for the Board, annual ESG report, earnings calls, investor calls, senior leader meetings, customer requests, and Company-wide communications.
Publish annual ESG Report and map our ESG report and disclosures and other corporate reporting to relevant standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD). Serve as thought leader on key ESG assessments (e.g., CDP, DJSI).
Manage deliverables for ESG Leadership Council, including meeting agenda planning and associated memoranda.
Coordinate with Controllership, Internal Audit and Financial Planning & Analysis teams and external parties to provide internal and external assurance on our ESG disclosures, implement systems to track and report on all ESG data, and ensure planned progress towards targets. Partners with business leaders to determine which metrics matter for the ESG program and where they appear.
Continually monitor and assess SEC and other regulatory ESG mandates; manages communication and implementation of any regulatory changes in partnership with relevant business leaders.

You Have:
At least 8 years of strategy development and execution experience and/or ESG-related experience.
At least 1 year of people leadership experience.
Proven ability to attain measurable results.
Open, collaborative and inclusive working style - able to share vision and gain buy-in with senior leaders and influence without authority.
Developed and delivered presentations for a senior-level audience.
Experience building relationships with different levels that foster teamwork, mutual support.
Experience with Project Management and achieving deadlines.
Experience with data analysis: gathering, analyzing, packaging and make thoughtful recommendations based on insights.
Knowledge of and passion for corporate responsibility issues.
