Functional area: Logistics / Operations / Shipping
Remuneration: Exempt
RWE Clean Energy will build between 2.5 GW and 4.5 GWs of renewable energy generation projects in the United States on an annual basis between 2024 and 2032. The Vice President of Supply Chain Planning and Logistics shall be responsible to plan for, manage, and deliver all Owner's Supplied equipment to support this build program. The Owner's supplied equipment includes HV equipment for substations (main power transformers, HV breakers, MV breakers, etc.), wind turbine generators, solar panels, BESS, and inverters. The position also includes creating, implementing, and managing existing third party and internal data platforms that are required to support planning and logistics activities.
Responsibilities:
Managing the team that forecast construction equipment requirements on a multi-year basis in order to support the build program
Maintain the pre-order equipment as "inventory" to be allocated out to projects as the projects near financial investment decision
Provide Procurement with the volume of equipment to purchase, timing of equipment purchases taking into account lead times, and coordinate with Engineering and Preconstruction to secure the necessary specifications of what to order
The VP of Supply Chain Planning and Logistics will improve and maintain existing software platforms to plan for and allocate equipment
Ensureu sufficient equipment to meet the RWE CE build targets
Responsible for shipping (when OEM is not responsible), tracking, warehousing, and delivering Owner Supplied Equipment to projects or warehouses
Responsible for ensuring stored equipment is properly maintained to ensure warranty is valid when the equipment is installed
Manage and direct this team to ensure that equipment is properly stored and delivered to projects in a timely manner
Manage, direct, and improve existing processes, procedures, and software solutions that are established and operational so the Logistics team can ensure equipment is delivered to a project in a timely manner
The main focus of the VP of Supply Chain Planning and Logistics is ensuring that equipment is delivered to construction projects in a timely manner per the construction schedule
Qualifications:

4 Year Engineering or relevant degree
Minimum 15 years work experience
Minimum10 years in Supply chain & logistics
Minimum 5 years managing a team
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
