Performs first-level assistance to subscribers requesting new or changes to network connections. Schedules tracks and monitors subscriber integration events and status. Support includes off-site assistance in requirement definition and continues through circuit allocation, engineering and acquisition process. Coordinates technical assistance during installation, upgrade cancellation and disconnection phases. Coordinates in implementing operational services. Advises users regarding optimal usage of Management Information Systems utilizes existing database applications to manage field service operations and generates required reports. Serves as central point of contact for clients to determine the status of operational systems. Provides functional guidance, supervision, technical support, training, and quality assurance/quality control as necessary.



Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Perform all circuit and service provisioning functions in accordance with USAF and DoD directives
  • Analyze telecommunications circuit orders and services to ensure they have valid data in them
  • Ensure provisioning orders in DISA Storefront web portal are accurate and contain all the required documentation
  • Create circuit orders in DISA's Storefront web portal, when applicable
  • Manage, coordinate, and execute the Expired CSA program for AF Program Designator Codes (PDCs) using the TCOSS system
  • Perform the following functions, including acquisition, provisioning, message routing and tracking, by using the Tracking and Communication Service Authorization (CSA) applications within the TCOSS system
  • Provide assistance to AF LHC customers including, but not limited to, MAJCOMs, their subordinate units, Combatant Commands, and AF base tenants on LHC related issues including the preparation of Storefront circuit and service Telecommunications Request (TR) orders, technical and policy guidance, billing issues, and GSA EIS services
  • Identify LHC circuits and CSAs that are no longer being utilized and in coordination with the customer, develop and successfully execute discontinue orders for those circuits to minimize costs and recapture funds
  • Transition communications circuits/services from expiring contracts to new contracts
  • Review customer requirements and DISA solutions to ensure proper circuit design accommodates the customer's needs
  • Document actions in support of the contract

Required Education & Experience

  • 2-4 years working in network, systems or telecommunications operations desired.
  • Bachelor's degree desired. Related experience or military experience in related field can substitute for formal education.
