The Personal and Professional Development department is seeking a PT Flex Office Assistant to assist with customer service and clerical tasks. The position supports staff, instructors and students/program participants.

Required Qualification(s)

1. High School Diploma or equivalent

2. Previous experience in an office setting

3. High level of comfort with the Microsoft Office Suite

4. Ability to collaborate across functions and departments

5. Excellent communication and organizational skills

6. Proven ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Summary of Essential Functions

The Office Assistant must multi-task between responding to students, instructors and community members over phone and via email while also performing general clerical tasks that serve the needs of the department.

These tasks may include processing paperwork, preparing course materials, retrieving and inputting data in a variety of systems, assisting students with registration, answering inbound calls, making outbound calls to community partners and editing documents.
