We are currently looking for a Production Planner to join our team in Chicago Heights, IL.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Reporting directly to the Production Planning Manager, the Production Planner is responsible for organizing production according to demand and quality standards, to ensure the smooth and cost-efficient flow of production operations.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
SAFETY:
- Adheres to all safety rules and sets an example for others while working in the yard and production areas.
QUALITY:
- Generates all work orders for all areas of the plant.
- Bring in design bills-of-material and routings to the plant level and review with drawing for accuracy.
ON-TIME DELIVERY:
- Maintains production schedules.
- Maintaining SAP Capacity Planning Expectations.
- Tracks raw rail availability and quickly works to correct any potential shortages.
- Create daily and weekly saw schedules with the assistance of the rail coordinator.
COST:
- Do costs roll ups. Review old and create new routings.
PEOPLE:
- Work cooperatively with shop floor personnel.
ENVIRONMENTAL:
- Adhere to Nortrak's Environmental Procedures, Practices and Policies.
Other duties as assigned.
