Commercial Insurance Business Development Manager (ACE American Insurance Company (Chubb)) (Chicago, IL): Establishing producer & customer relationships through telephonic and in person customer contact, knowledge of company strategy and joint sales planning with Underwriting teams; Drive Key Account Retention, Enterprise Target Engagement, and Cross sell between P&C, Specialties Lines, and Financial Lines; Complete 50 External engagements per month; Connect with 100 Client Execs and 25 Hub Account Execs in the calendar year and evaluate the strength of the relationships. Develop clear tactics of how to grow their businesses with Chubb; Track the following metrics compared to prior per CI Vision Dashboard separately for Marsh: New Submission Growth, New Quote Growth, New Bound Growth, New Quote Ratio, New Hit Ratio, and New Efficiency Ratio; Managing growth, profit, and retention across the Commercial Insurance P&C portfolio for Marsh Commercial Insurance & Local Broker Owner, driving Senior Leadership Connectivity and P&L and Agency Contingency Management with Hub International for Chicago; Facilitating relationships between Client Executives, Producers and Underwriters to facilitate successful outcomes and increased production; Working with underwriting teams to remove roadblocks; Understanding specific industry characteristics of each Industry Practice and product offering, key needs and buying patterns of customers, and use effectively in positioning our products; Responsible for managing assigned distribution; Maintaining knowledge of competitor products and capabilities along with local market trends; Resolving producer and customer and complaints. Communicates to senior management and underwriting the specific needs of our customers; and Executing strategic initiatives with the Industry Practice and leading Chubb’s Middle Market Property and Casualty business towards exceeding its financial plans. In order to complete the above-mentioned tasks, the following experience and skills are required: Experience with technical risk assumption and financial forecasting; Knowledge of commercial underwriting and insurance industry theories and practices; Demonstrated successful sales skills; Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners; and High-level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Management or a related field, and at least three (3) years of experience as a Commercial Insurance Underwriter or related Commercial Insurance Sales or Marketing Role. Travel required 25% of the time, estimated 1-2 trips per month, to the Midwest Region. Infrequent travel to states outside of the Midwest may be required.
