Summary:
SKF is the world's leading supplier of a wide assortment of aerospace solutions encompassing bearings, seals, rods, struts, precision elastomeric devices and fly- by -wire equipment for air frame, aero-engine, and gear boxes. Our manufacturing operation located in Elgin Illinois develops seals and precision elastomeric devices for the aerospace industry.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Order book management.
Process customer orders/changes in system according to established department policies and procedures, provide acknowledgements.
First point of contact for order status, quotations, shipping information, customer questions and concerns.
Acting as a liaison between customers, sales, and factory regarding new, current, and future requirements.
Daily management of customer portals.
Identifies delivery problems and proactively consults with proper company personnel, and then provides best resolution for our customers.
Building and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal customers.
Assist AR with research and resolution of invoices as well as the processing of debits and credits.
Entering and tracking orders.
Follow established processes and procedures to ensure work accuracy.
Handling customer complaints and returned goods.
Providing pricing and delivery information.
Working with engineers to ensure customer requirements are met.
Performs additional tasks and duties under direct supervisor, using defined policies and procedures.
Streamline and automate processes.
Assist Manager with tasks as needed.
Occasional travel required.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' experience preferred in customer service in aerospace, automotive or other custom manufacturing environment.
Associate degree (will consider a combination of education and relevant experience).
Track record of effectively resolving customer related issues, improving processes and helping in efficiency.
Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
Courteous, clear, and professional manner.
Excellent organizational and communication skills - written and oral.
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS office.
A proven track record of cross-functional interaction.
Demonstrated success in problem solving.
Must possess strong analytical skills.
Problem solving mindset.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently.
Must possess a detail orientation, be able to work effectively.
