Job Description
INTERIOR FINISH WOOD & METAL CARPENTER
- Must have an understanding of how to work with different materials (hardwoods, various soft woods, composites and various trim metals) as they relate to passenger railcar interiors.
- Must be able to measure/design/build/install various internal components of passenger railcars including but not limited to, cabinets, drawer storage, armoires, made of wood composites or ply metal.
- Must have the ability to use various woodworking hand tools and or machining tools to prepare wood or structural finishing, by shaping and trimming, adding the final touches to the carpentry project.
- Additional abilities to include installation of various types of flooring, staining, varnishing, installation of hardware for cabinets, doors and window installation.
- Includes retrofitting/modification of old work and/or upgrading of passenger railcar interior spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges and dining areas.
