About the role

The Senior Specialist of Material Profiling supports internal and external waste manifesting/approvals, Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste shipping documents, transportation/disposal coordination and tracking, reviewing and tracking weight tickets, effectively support DOT compliance, standardizing external disposal pricing for each calendar year, actively pursue Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste stream outlets, coordinating marine transfers, marine transfer compliance, general facility waste management.
Key Areas of Responsibility:

Reviewing and approving non-hazardous waste streams into the Global facility.

Submitting profiles and coordinating waste approvals with outside disposal facilities.

Tracking profile recertification(s) within the database and notifying project managers when due for recertification.

Support/updating waste disposal and profiling Standard Operating Procedures.

Actively participate in scheduling and coordination meetings. It is expected that this individual will be involved in the coordination and scheduling of transportation and disposal.

Support Project Managers with waste profiling, analytical data interpretation, disposal facility selection, shipping documentation development, and disposal facility coordination.

Working directly with disposal facility outlets to establish annual costing for regular waste streams and distributing this information to Project Managers.

Continuously researching and identifying creative and upcoming waste disposal outlets for current waste streams and potential waste opportunities.

Performs other duties as required including but not limited to directly interfacing with customers, external sales, internal sales, and facilities to aid in the approval process as well as completing actual approvals.
Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry or Engineering or applicable Industry experience/training.

RCRA/DOT training and experience.

Greater than 5 yrs. of working experience in the environmental industry.

Proficient compute skills and knowledge of Excel and Word.

Must be an energetic, self-starter, and detail oriented.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications (not required)

40-hr HAZWOPER Training Certificate and applicable 8-hr refresher.

Experience printing manifests and completing profiles
