Job Description
Analyst (Citadel Americas Services LLC – Chicago, IL); Multiple positions available: Analyze financial statements and business strategies, build detailed financial models and conduct company due diligence and channel checks. Provide coverage for companies in a specific subsector. Research and assess industry supply and demand, competitive landscape, profit drivers and pricing of inputs and outputs. Estimate industry growth with predictive modeling and derive investment conclusions for reports to portfolio managers. Present actionable investment ideas and investment strategies to portfolio manager based on market data analysis, financial models and company research. Build and maintain relationships with company management, industry contacts and institutional investors. Participate in quarterly earnings calls and attend industry conferences to remain informed on key developments and present investment recommendations. Monitor dynamic market news flows and closely follow and analyze actionable corporate events.
Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Technology, Financial Engineering or a related quantitative field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or performing fundamental equity research and analysis. In lieu of a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Technology, Financial Engineering or a related quantitative field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or performing fundamental equity research and analysis, will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Technology, Financial Engineering or a related quantitative field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or performing fundamental equity research and analysis. Education, training, or experience must include: Conducting equity valuations, corporate financial statement analysis and linear regression calculations on behalf of a global financial services institution; Financial modeling using MS Excel and VBA to project industry growth and forward company earnings; Obtaining and analyzing data from Bloomberg or similar third party source; Working as a long/short hedge fund analyst; and Presenting investment recommendations to clients or portfolio managers.
