POSITION SUMMARY
Maintains the cleanliness of the entire facility and assists in other areas of building and grounds maintenance as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(The following statements describe the general nature of work being performed in this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management):
Vacuums, sweeps, and mops floors. Disposes of trash, garbage, and boxes.
Cleans bathrooms and maintains soap dispensers, toilet paper holders, and seat cover holders.
Performs light maintenance repairs and general maintenance duties such as changing lights.
Patrols outside grounds.
Performs other maintenance and cleaning duties, as required. 


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. 


QUALIFICATIONS
Less than high school education and three to twelve months experience.
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's and perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions and deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms; frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and occasionally required to talk, hear, and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision and distance vision. 


WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
