Position Overview
CWT is seeking for an Associate Desktop Support Specialist
CWT, one of the world's leading digital travel management companies is currently looking for a part-time Desktop Support Specialist.This person will join a global team providing support and maintenance within CWT's desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment (including but not limited to desktop computers, laptops, Avaya phones, Citrix SDWANS, and printers) to ensure optimal workstation performance. This role will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via remote access) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user assistance where required. Duties include work in the areas of user and systems requirements and analysis, computer systems support, application and network troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance.This role is onsite in Minnetonka, Minnesota.This is part-time, up to 20 hours a week.
Position Description
Responsibilities:
Assist with hardware lifecycle projects, replacing a high volume of end-user workstations and laptops.
Image and configure Windows desktops\laptops, Avaya deskphones, Citrix SDWANS, and RSA tokens. Troubleshoot issues that arise.
Communicate with team members and end users to identify areas where the migration process improved.
Consistently follow and maintain Asset Management policies and procedures. Update Asset Management records in ServiceNow.
Review and update equipment requests on SharePoint Carefully pack and ship computers, monitors, and peripherals to end users via FedEx.
Receive new computer equipment and assist in updating inventory counts.
Receive and unpack equipment returned by end users. Follow processes to determine what equipment will be recycled and what needs to be returned to inventory. The test returned hardware before returning to inventory.
Establishes a high level of personal credibility and builds strong professional working relationships.
Coordinate activities, as needed, with other team members.
Provides updates, status, and completion information to supervisor, ServiceNow system, and/or users, via phone, e-mail, chat, or in person.

Qualifications
Position Requirements
Experience & Education:

Working towards an associate degree or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, IT, related field, or equivalent experience.
Requires broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education.
Experienced in one or more operating systems, hardware platforms, networking, and application support.
Languages

*Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
Knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs)

Knowledge in the following: Business software applications, Collaboration tools, Hardware and Accessories, Remote Computing, Security, Telephony, and ServiceNow.
Ability to use open-ended questions and active listening to gather information on a problem.
Possess and maintain a positive attitude in various situations.
Ability to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IT systems.
Understand and readily comply with CWT's security policies.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
