Job Description

Trader (Citadel Securities Americas Services LLC – Chicago, IL); multiple positions available: Monitor and analyze incoming market information, economic news and trading activity to manage portfolio risk, identify investment opportunities and make trading decisions. Work with quantitative researchers, technology teams and analysts to make process-driven trading decisions based on statistical methods and fundamental insight across a large distributed portfolio. Design, implement and execute trading strategies in equity options based on macro views, quantitative signals, fundamental alpha and market structure. Assist in managing risk and performing detailed profit and loss (P&L) reconciliation for trading activity. Work with technology and quantitative research teams to test and implement software changes, develop algorithms and enhance trading strategy and processes. Build trading and risk management tools in Python, R, Matlab and Excel. Build new processes to better incorporate and manage daily decision making and iterate on improving process.

 

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related quantitative field. Education, training, or experience must include the following: working in a data-driven quantitative trading environment; financial and statistical modelling including time-series analysis; working in financial markets with derivative pricing; programming and scripting languages including Python, R, C++, or similar; statistical tools including R, Matlab, or similar; and analyzing large data sets and other informational input to inform investment or trading decisions.
