Position Purpose:

Manage payroll compliance globally. Payroll compliance subject matter expert, responsible for all payroll compliance matters globally. Partner with payroll leadership and finance to ensure company compliance in the area of payroll compliance and maximize any potential credits and incentives. Audit, review and analyze company payroll tax deposits and returns for federal, state, and local agencies. Research and resolve tax notices and mitigate potential penalties and interest. Assist in management of overall payroll responsibilities for processing pay in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

Key Job Activities:

Manage all payroll compliance globally
Manage all US and Canadian Payroll Tax inquiries, investigations, audits - this would include contacting and potentially negotiating with the States /Provinces
Audit Tax Notices from the States as well as Quarter filings and Year End filings
Manage two Payroll Tax Specialists
Lead any/all payroll related audits both from internal and external sources. Engage the payroll team as needed to provide date but maintain overall responsibilities for accurate and timely responses to audit requests and inquires
Serves as backup for Payroll leadership
Stock option management. Ensuring stock options are released by specified time and deposits are released by specified compliant date
Level of approval for the weekly and bi-weekly payroll process (which includes out of sequence payrolls)
Responsible for all manual payments processed outside of the regular processing (approximately 10 weekly). Auditing for accuracy and compliance
Support all acquisition and divestiture efforts
Responsible for all internal audit processes and any audit requests
Manage the process of compiling all data for payroll controls
Partner with Global Payroll Director to ensure acquisitions and integrations are seamless integration of acquired and divested team members
Reconciliation of W-2s and prepare year end and quarter end tax audits
Champion any and all payroll related internal and external audits
Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Experience (North America):

* Bachelor's in Accounting or Human Resources or equivalent work experience
* 7-10 years of experience payroll, and payroll tax
* Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions
* 7-10 years' experience with ADP or similar products like Ceridian, PeopleSoft or UltiPro
