Data Scientist/Programmer
We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist/Programmer to support internal audit team members with advanced data analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct requirements analysis to identify and prioritize data analytic needs.
- Program data analytic routines that assist auditors in assessing risk and evaluating internal controls using full populations of data.
- Interpret, validate, and report data analytic results, following up on anomalies to verify they are true exceptions.
- Optimize data analytic routines to minimize false positives.
- Automate data analytic routines for repeatable execution.
- Document the data analytic development steps for each audit.
Technical Proficiency:
- Python, common statistical and ML libraries
- Apache AirFlow
- SQL
- Streamlit
- Tableau
- GitHub
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience as a data scientist/programmer supporting a risk or control function such as audit, compliance, QA/QC, or risk management.
- Experience working in a financial services organization.
- Experience working within an Agile framework.
Demonstrated History Of:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to rapidly understand a business process and requirements
