Microsoft – BizApps ERP – Technical Architect – Manager – Open Location

EY advises clients to understand, architect, select and implement bleeding edge solutions required to efficiently run their businesses, with a focus on Digital and Cloud technologies. These service areas span E-commerce, Solution Architecture, Mobile Applications, Digital Platform Architecture, Digital Technology Strategy, and Digital IT Operations.

Most of your time will be spent embedded with our clients’ team and we’ll look to you to provide our clients with a unique technical perspective on how they must continue to innovate and remain competitive in this ever-changing industry.

Your Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the successful technical delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for ERP (Finance & Supply Chain Management) projects. You will manage the technical side of projects through discovery, business process transformation, testing, training, and go live support. During the project life cycle, you will work within the frame of the project timeline, and manage the technical architecture, custom development, and outstanding issues.

Skills and attributes for success

+ Working in project teams through agreed upon phases of project governance, requirements definition, vendor selection, risk analysis, customization, testing, training and rollout of a client’s project lifecycle

+ Leading team members in developing applicable methodologies, tools, approaches, points of view, thought leadership and accelerators to differentiate EY in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP market.

+ Providing broad technical and functional knowledge of various modules within Microsoft Dynamics

+ Leading technical workshops with client professionals and provide guidance on technical architecture and proposed solutions to identified gaps while ensuring the technical directions stay aligned with the client’s strategy for the project.

+ Teaming with client technology professionals, and third-party strategic alliances

+ Developing long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally

+ Interacting and communicating effectively with teammates, clients, stakeholders, and executives

To qualify for the role you must have

+ Bachelor’s degree, preferable in Computer Science, Software Engineering or business, and 5 or more years of related work experience

+ 5 or more years of significant technical and functional project experience implementing ERP solutions with experience in modelling business processes and translating user requirements into technical specifications.

+ 2 or more years of team management experience in at least one of the following platforms: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009, 2012, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.

+ Minimum of 5 full lifecycle implementation of Dynamics 365 F&O / Dynamics AX

+ Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating enterprise business processes with technology skills

+ Knowledge of leading practices, benchmarking, peer company environments and prior consulting experience relevant to industry specific business and technology functions

+ Willingness to travel based on client needs

Ideally, you’ll also have

+ Degree emphasis in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, MIS, Mathematics, or Accounting, Finance desired; master’s degree in one of these areas preferred

+ Experience with Power Platform technologies and/or Dynamics CE

+ Microsoft Dynamics Certifications

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $141,200 to $258,900. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $169,500 to $294,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
