Job Description
Description We are in the construction industry, seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Aurora, Illinois. This role focuses on managing the company’s accounts payable system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions related to invoicing, bid processing, and data entry.
Responsibilities:
- Handle the processing of all invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Manage new bid processing, coordinating with relevant departments for necessary data.
- Utilize Excel for data management, maintaining high attention to detail in all tasks.
- Regularly update and maintain the company’s financial records, specifically in relation to accounts payable.
- Operate within financial software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks.
- Perform account reconciliation, identifying and resolving any discrepancies in the accounts payable system.
- Conduct regular check runs to ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Handle the coding of invoices, ensuring correct categorization for smooth financial tracking.
- Perform data entry tasks as needed, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Respond to and resolve any invoice processing inquiries from customers or internal departments. Requirements – Proven experience in a similar role within the construction or contractor industry
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures
- Demonstrated skills in Account Reconciliation
- Experience in Check Runs and Coding Invoices
- Proficient in Data Entry and Invoice Processing
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Familiarity with Oracle, SAP, and QuickBooks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines.
