Job Title: Sr. Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
Seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Engineer with over 7 years of experience to develop CNC programs for multi-axis CNC lathes and mills using CAM software, particularly MasterCAM. The role entails improving, standardizing machining processes, tooling, and equipment. The successful candidate will spend approximately 75% of their time on the shop floor, engaging in a mix of editing and modifying programs on machines, setups, and engineering process improvement projects. The role involves overseeing about 20 machines, ensuring all programs are ready, updated, and making necessary changes to the processes. This position does not require operating the machines but includes assisting during setups and initial releases. The role also involves designing fixtures and possibly creating 3D models using CAD software.

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Harwood Heights, Illinois.
Work Environment
This role operates in a small, family-oriented team environment but is part of a larger corporation. The standard working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, with 40 hours per week and rarely any overtime. The candidate will work closely with shop floor personnel, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly while developing detailed manufacturing processes and ensuring compliance with customer and design specifications.
