Machinist Assistant

Shift: 7AM – 4PM

Pay: $18 – $22 (based on interview)

Benefits: Weekly Pay, Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, OT and PTO available, opportunity to learn machining

Job Description

+ Assist our machining team by kitting and preparing projects for machining operations

+ Using computer systems to track and record materials and processes

+ Operate a bandsaw and utilize measuring tools to cut steel to blueprint specifications

+ Operate a drill press for boring holes according to blueprint specifications

+ Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials & components

+ Prepare & maintain the organization of materials & components for projects

+ Collaborate with other production team members to help analyze, track, and maintain inventory

+ Utilize a forklift to move material throughout the shop

+ Required to perform all other tasks assigned from time to time by the supervisor

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Peoria, Illinois.
