The Opportunity

Hyatt is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Global Sales Director on our Hyatt Sales Force Americas Transient team who will serve as the day-to-day leader of the HSF Transient Team. This individual will focus on the growth and development of HSF Sellers while also implementing strategies and tactics to increase revenue growth and contribution from the HSF Transient Team. The Senior Global Sales Director will maintain a small account base of his / her own that will include account management and revenue growth targets within the set account base. This is a unique opportunity for a global seller to grow their leadership competencies and leverage a network of Commercial Services functions to collaborate and innovate through our Purpose of Care as we continue to evolve the overall sales processes, including education and training, across the enterprise and achieve the organization’s objectives. This remote position will report to the VP of Global Sales. The Role

The Senior Global Director is responsible for leading a team of Transient Directors and the Transient Business Development Team, which will include implementing the organization’s sales objectives within their designated account base and the overall HSF Team.

This individual will work with the Transient Team to implement strategic account/action plans that will comprise customer engagement opportunities, tactics to secure new business, annual & quarterly account reviews, implementing promotions and loyalty strategies, and overall B2B collaboration opportunities that will grow revenue, shift market share, and drive preference globally.

The Senior Global Director will need to be results-oriented, effectively manage competing priorities, and champion working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders. The ability to manage through influence, communicate effectively – verbally and written, and promote a culture of care within our team is expected. This individual will exemplify sound conflict resolution skills and customer service tactics while balancing the competing needs of various stakeholders. This role will require travel to attend customer and internal meetings, sponsored events, industry trade shows, account reviews, hotel familiarization trips, and other business meetings as needed. This is a remote position reporting directly to the VP of Global Sales.

Some specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Identifying, understanding, and sharing customer insight and trends

- Day-to-day account management, including handling leads & RFPs

-Growing relationships with customers and increasing overall Hyatt brand awareness through various engagement opportunities including but not limited to webinars, virtual meetings, in-person meetings

-Creating, evolving, and managing programs related to the travel space including SME Programs, Extended Stay Offerings, Billing Solutions, and Emergency Response

-Collaborating on strategic company initiatives

-Managing individual and team travel and event budgets

-Leading Hyatt’s participation in key industry and internal events

-Hiring, coaching, and developing a team of direct reports

-Cultivating and growing HSF partnership with Field and Commercial Services Leadership

-Supporting our Field Sellers through education and presentation opportunities

- Develop strategies for impact-focused hotel initiatives and other company priorities

-Planning and executing FAM Trips and Customer Events in accordance with overall sales strategy

-Data analysis and comprehensive understanding of transient reporting logic as it relates to production and tracking

-Partnering with other Commercial Services functions to enhance the sales process and customer experience

-Playing an integral role in other ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications:

Experience Required:

-Minimum of 10 years of hotel sales and operations experience

- Master-level understanding of the Corporate Travel / Transient segment and a network of customer and industry contacts

-Self-starter and capable of working independently in a fast-paced and relatively autonomous environment

-Possess solid written and verbal communication skills with an ability to stay nimble and creative

-Demonstrate effective ability to present and captivate an audience

-Exemplify strong business acumen and ability to apply a customer-focused and sales-oriented lens to all tasks
