The Opportunity

Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Global Sales Director LAC to join our Hyatt Sales Force – Global Enterprise team where you’ll join a team of 15 sales professionals who love what they do. The Global Sales Director LAC will be responsible for finding and establishing strong key partnerships in the LAC market that support our strategic goals while developing their business on the transient side of their travel. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader Hyatt Sales Force and individual hotel teams where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. The Role

The Global Sales Director of LAC is responsible for implementing and overseeing the organization’s sales strategy, strategic objectives, and tactics/initiatives for the corporate travel segment within the LAC market.

The Global Sales Director must be a self-starter and capable to work independently and must have good communication and interpersonal skills. This candidate must be a team player, personable, entrepreneurial mindset, discreet, reliable, and have very strong follow-up, organizational skills, and leadership skills.

This position will also be responsible for developing and nurturing long term strategic global accounts/relationships with a focus on increasing revenue, new business development and brand awareness globally along with supporting our hotels through proactive sales missions, tradeshows/events, and hotel familiarization trips. As a Global Director, they will create and maintain strategic account/action plans for each account that will include quota targets, customer engagement, key tactics to grow account revenue globally, annual & quarterly account reviews, promotions, and B2B marketing opportunities. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to understanding customer trends, day-to-day account management, handling leads & RFPs, program management, contributing to team accounts, and collaborating on strategic company initiatives while maintaining travel expenses within the set budget.

Successful execution of sales strategies is required to achieve financial targets.

This is a remote position and the individual reports directly to the Vice President of Global Sales.

Qualifications:

Experience Required:

-Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field or equivalent experience

-5 Years Experience in the corporate transient space in the LAC market

-Proficient with Cvent-Transient & Envision, Salesforce (or similar CRM tool)

-Experience in using reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, Cognos) to track sales performance, analyze trends, etc.

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to create, format, and manage documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.

-Flexibility to travel as needed to meet with clients and collaborate with hotel teams.

-This individual must be able to work independently in a home-based environment.

-Excellent Organization Skills & Follow up

-Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

-Fluent in English & Spanish

Experience Preferred:

-Established book of business

-Has worked within hotel sales operations

-Has some experience and working knowledge within the group travel segment

-Experience with Cognos, Tableau, Reserve, and Oracle preferred

-Comprehensive knowledge of Hotels and Sales Practices

-This individual must be able to work independently in a home-based environment

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with both internal and external stakeholders.

-Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

-Creative thinker with the ability to strategize and plan events that align with the Brand’s identity.

-Fluent in Portuguese

-Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed targets
