We are looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. We are a small, high-performing team that is committed to building customer trust by prioritizing security and privacy, and maintaining customer focus by engaging continuously with customers throughout the development process. We are looking for an experienced senior software engineer to help us build a trustworthy, performant Azure service in collaboration with our data science team. The right candidate for this position will have experience building and maintaining a cloud-scale service, enjoy the taking on an ambiguous problem space in a collaborative environment and thrive when learning and balancing multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

+ Partner with Program Management, data science, customers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, scope projects and validatesolutions

+ Design, implement, ship, and maintain features and services with end-to-end ownership

+ Provide support to customers as part of an on-call rotation

+ Build for security, privacy, scalability, and compliance

+ Lead others by exemplifying technical excellence, inclusiveness, teamwork, and customer focus

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

+ OR equivalent experience.

+ 2+ years of experience building and maintaining a large-scale cloud service.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:?Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

+ This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

+ OR equivalent experience.

+ 4+ years of experience building and maintaining a large-scale cloud service.

+ Experience with .NET, C# and associated toolsets / frameworks.

+ Experience with maintaining and operating Kubernetes.

+ Experience with deploying and maintaining machine learning models (MLOps).

Software Engineering IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 – $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 – $250,200 per year.
