Job Description
Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Senior Consultant in Chicago, Illinois and various
unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.
Work You’ll Do
Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big
technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to
deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting
engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate
activities between workstreams, and identify changes in scope. Drive the evaluation of technology needs,
develop customized applications, and draft technical and functional design documentation. Identify and
mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Perform assessments of existing information
systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; estimate time
and resources needed for the development work. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements,
design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions and support system implementation. Transform
detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document; support creation of interface
specifications and call flows for the various components in the design. Gain exposure to multiple
industries and service lines while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by
engagement follow-on opportunities.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field.
Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires 2 years of related work experience in each of the following:
• Designing and developing applications using Big Data Ecosystem, Apache Hadoop and Spark,
Structured Query Language (SQL), Unix Shell Scripting, Scala, Python, and Talend Studio to meet
functional needs for Business Intelligence (BI) applications;
• Utilizing business process, data, and system architecture diagrams to convert business and technical
requirements into development models;
• Developing and launching automation solutions using GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus, and Urban Code
Deployment;
• Delivering and deploying custom developed BI applications and exploratory datasets for clients,
including prototyping, code development, modularization, unit testing, configuration and defect
management, and production deployment, utilizing Power BI, and SQL endpoints;
• Performing software development in Agile and Waterfall development environments and testing using
Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft (MS) Project;
• Designing and maintaining coding standards to enhance application development using Git and
Bitbucket;
• Performing aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering,
business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, triage of defects and change requests, utilizing
Jira, Jenkins, and ServiceNow; and
• Performing data cleansing and conversions, interface design, development, and SDLC, utilizing SQL,
Unix Shell Scripting, Scala, Apache PySpark, Talend Studio, MS Excel Macros, and HTML applications.
