Service and repair tools to operate with micro precision under the direction of the Tool Maintenance Technician. Responsibilities
Learn, maintain and repair high tolerance forming and cut tools to required standards with direction from Tool Maintenance Technician
Track tool wear cycles to ensure proper service intervals
Maintain accurate service records for all tools
Assist Tool Maintenance Technician to ensure proper tool handing, TPMs, and changeovers with operators
Supervise press machine for brief period while operators are unavailable
Gain a working knowledge of the press machine to assist with needed continuous improvements
Support new tool introductions and assist as needed in ordering spare parts
Support Tool Maintenance Technician on new tooling developments and standards
Maintain safe working practicesQualifications, Education, and Experience
Mechanical aptitude preferably with maintenance mechanic's experience
Mathematically inclined with desire to learn
Experience working with Metric system preferredSkills and Competencies
Good teamwork and exhibits positive attitude.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Communicate with team members of varying technical aptitudes
Basic computer literacy
Understanding of basic technical drawings
Ability to use a wide variety of hand tools including drills, angle grinders, die grinders
Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative.
