Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and energetic individual to serve as Subsidy Intake Assistant. Under general direction, this position will perform complex paraprofessional functions involved in regulating and monitoring the adoption assistance program. The position will assign subsidy packets to regional DCFS Adoptions staff for review and approval and will monitor and track assignments to ensure compliance with timeframes. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is detail oriented and interested in playing a supporting role in the Department’s adoptions operations. Job Responsibilities1). Serves as Subsidy Intake Assistant.
2). Assigns subsidy packets to regional DCFS Adoptions staff for review and approval
3). Prepares and keyboards documents which impact unit policies and procedures, as well as confidential documents related to the performance of unit personnel.
4). Utilizing extensive knowledge and understanding of multiple software programs, develops and provides comprehensive, complex database reports, which include confidential data for distribution to professional Adoptions staff and the Federal Financial Participation Unit.
5). Serves as secretary to the supervisor.
6). Serves as timekeeper.
7). Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
