Position Summary: PSG is a global leader in the manufacture of pumps, systems and related flow-control solutions for the safe, efficient and reliable transfer of critical and valuable materials and recruit outstanding candidates capable to turning ideas and strategies into world-class results.
This position will support the Grand Rapids, Michigan facility which manufactures Blackmer and System One products. The International Logistics Supervisor is responsible for supporting Domestic / international export and import activities, including the preparation of commercial documents in accordance with export/import regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in identifying perspective partners who can provide Importer of Record Services.
Performance Management: Accomplish objectives by communicating job expectations to employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; Hold direct reports accountable for their performance; coaching, counseling, and performance management of employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Supervises and coordinates activities of associates engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment: Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
Support sales with country import requirements.
Communicate with appropriate country partners, freight forwarders, and brokers regarding import requirements and timeline.
Manage union and non-union shipping staff. Conduct performance evaluations, regular one on one discussions, disciplinary action
Create export documentation required per country specific destination in accordance with country laws and regulations.
Submit timely instructions to warehouse and freight forwarders.
Follow through with shipments from pickup to final delivery.
Resolve problems, including identifying issues, seeking input to determine the best course of action, filing claims, and implementing solutions.
Review invoices against determined rates.
File and audit Electronic Export Information with the US Government
Invoice customers in a timely manner.
