Job Purpose

The role of the Premium Account Manager is crucial in ensuring the success of our organization. They are responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our most important customers. Their primary objective is to provide exceptional value to our key clients, ensuring their satisfaction, and driving revenue growth.

As a Premium Account Manager, your primary responsibility is to create and execute strategic account plans. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products and services align with our customers’ needs and objectives. It is important to maintain a deep understanding of our customers and their requirements to identify opportunities for expansion and innovation. Your role is critical in driving growth and providing excellent customer service.

As a Premium Account Manager, you will be required to possess in-depth knowledge of our products and services to provide customized solutions to our key clients.

Principal Accountabilities

Strategic Account Planning:

Develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned key customers, aligning with the organization’s overall business objectives.

Responsible for comprehending the value chain within strategic accounts, ensuring alignment between regional and international market strategies.

Customer Relationship Management:

Serves as the primary point of contact to customers, representing all Mitsubishi Chemical entities, regardless of geographical location.

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, understanding their unique needs and objectives.

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and support, resolving issues promptly, and proactively addressing concerns.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with various internal teams, including sales, product development, and customer service, to ensure a cohesive and customer-centric approach.

Maintains close ties with industry-specific marketing resources, both regionally and globally, leveraging them within strategic accounts.

Connects globally with sales leaders interacting with strategic accounts to maintain a consistent approach to customer engagement.

Performance Driven:

Identify opportunities for revenue growth within key accounts by upselling, cross-selling, and introducing new products or services.

Drive long-term, profitable growth for strategic accounts by aligning their needs with the organization’s capabilities and offerings.

Coordinate and oversee existing and new programs within key accounts, working closely with program managers and relevant teams.

Executive Relationship Building:

Develops a profound understanding of the strategic account organizations, focusing on decision-makers and their impact on MCG products and solutions.

Cultivate and strengthen executive-level relationships within strategic accounts, engaging in discussions about their business goals and objectives.

Being culturally aware and having the ability to navigate through different levels of the organization are a must for this position.

Market Insight:

Stays informed about product and technology requirements within the account, capturing opportunities and conveying them to the appropriate SMBG/MCG resources.

Equip and support market teams in their efforts to succeed with key accounts by providing necessary insights, tools, and resources.

Data Management:

Utilizes Salesforce for comprehensive tracking and reporting of all key account activities and opportunities.

Premium Account Managers play a pivotal role in securing and growing key customer relationships, ensuring their continued loyalty, and contributing significantly to the organization’s overall success.

Requirements :

+ Travel Requirement : This role demands extensive travel, approximately 60%-70%, with occasional international travel.

+ Relationship Building : Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional networking abilities are essential in this role.

+ Executive Interaction : Proficiency in engaging at the senior executive level is a necessity.

+ Technical Versatility : Demonstrates a comprehensive technical background, capable of comprehending MCC’s full portfolio.

+ Sales Acumen : Possesses extensive experience in sales and sales management, ideally in a leadership capacity.

+ Strategic Thinker: Capable of thinking strategically and providing innovative solutions to customer challenges

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

+ Educational Requirements : A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Business, Marketing, or Engineering. Possessing an MBA or MS is considered advantageous.

+ Professional Experience : 10 – 15 years of experience in sales, marketing, or technical roles, with a strong background in general management.

+ Software Proficiency : Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

+ CRM Knowledge : Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems is an asset.

+ Technical Sales Expertise : 5 – 10 years of experience in technical product sales, with a preference for candidates experienced in engineering plastics.

+ Exceptional Organizational Skills : Demonstrates excellent planning and organizational capabilities.

+ Team Leadership : Proven ability to mobilize, energize and influence a diverse team of professionals across the world toward a common goal.

+ Effective Communication : Strong communication and presentation skills are essential for this role.
