Job Description

Description We are in search of a dedicated Bilingual Spanish Human Resources Manager for our manufacturing facility located in Des Plaines, Illinois. The role involves administering the Human Resources function primarily to the manufacturing employee populations. This is a tactical and strategic position that requires management of various HR initiatives, including employee benefits, talent development, and compliance with federal and state employment laws.

Responsibilities: - Administer and assist with the management of Human Resources programs, policies, and procedures such as employee benefits and leave programs. – Provide Spanish/English translation support for counseling and coaching employees, and assist managers in supporting employee success. – Conduct new employee orientation and set up new hires’ payroll and benefits. – Assist with Workers’ Compensation support and administration. – Manage recruitment and talent development, working closely with staffing agencies. – Provide backup payroll administration and assist with timekeeping management and tracking. – Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, providing relevant updates to supervisors and managers. – Assist with company event planning such as Employee Appreciation Day, holiday lunch, and summer family picnic. – Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned. – Maintain HRIS and other employment-related records including personnel files. Skills: - Spanish Language – Benefits Analysis – Benefits Administration – Benefits Coordination – Benefits Payroll – Compensation & Benefits – Conducts new-Employee Orientations – New Employee Orientation – New permanent Orientations – Recruitment – Agency Requirements – Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.

- Proficient in Spanish language.

- Demonstrable expertise in benefits analysis, benefits administration, benefits coordination, and benefits payroll.

- Proven skills in compensation and benefits.

- Capacity to conduct new employee orientations.

- Experience in recruitment, preferably with a recruitment agency.

- Ability to efficiently coordinate new permanent orientations.

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Proficiency in using HR software and computer applications.

- Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.

- Ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s business goals.

- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

- detail oriented certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
