Job Description

Description We are searching for a meticulous and analytical Staff Accountant to join our team in Oak Brook, Illinois. The Staff Accountant will oversee a range of accounting tasks, such as accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and journal entries. Additionally, the Staff Accountant will manage payroll for a significant number of employees and handle intercompany accounting.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

- Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy.

- Manage general ledger accounting and prepare journal entries.

- Handle intercompany accounting tasks and ensure they are completed accurately.

- Process payroll for a significant number of employees.

- Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain and analyze financial data.

- Employ QuickBooks and Sage Software for various accounting tasks.

- Perform month-end close procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.

- Conduct monthly bank reconciliation and ledger account reconciliation.

- Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications. Requirements – Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field

- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar

- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Experience with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger management

- Ability to make Journal Entries and handle Month End Close processes

- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage Software

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

- Experience in managing Payroll for a range of 101 to 500 employees

- Skilled in Monthly Bank Reconciliation and Ledger Account Reconciliation

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work

- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in the field of accounting.
