Some of the tasks this person will be doing are:
o Start server imaging – remotely connecting in and start imaging a server. This will all be script driven and instructions on how to do it.
- Work within Excel to track status updates for store projects, Vlookups
o Create work orders on one of the vendor websites in a web portal
o They ship equipment out to the stores and need to make sure the old equipment gets back in so they would be tracking all of the equipment in a spreadsheet
o Reviewing another portal to verify configurations. They would be taught how to log into a host portal and validate numbers
o Check and make sure forms are correct – infopath forms for technician check outs. The tech fills out a form so this person would look at the form and make sure they don’t see anything that is red. Then copy the form and put into the ITSM application.
- They will be a doer. If they have ideas on how to improve things they are very open to that but they want someone detail oriented and adhere to the processes they are given.
