Humana Wellness is seeking a Senior Application Architect who is smart, curious and loves the challenge of solving problems that improve people’s lives. Key Responsibilities:

+ Design and develop IT applications architecture solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards. Architect solutions for medium to complex applications, perform technical planning, architecture development, and modification of specifications.

+ Perform analysis to determine root causes of issues and derive multiple technical solutions.

+ Translate high-level vision into actionable technical stories and prioritize them.

+ Lead and implement process or workflow changes to improve individual and team performance.

+ Collaborate in an agile team to continuously deliver new features and products to customers.

+ Work effectively across multiple IT teams, external vendors, and user stakeholders to define and advance Integrated Health architecture and technology strategy. Ensure alignment with the broader Wellness Solution and North Star Architecture.

+ Partner with development teams to drive modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.

+ Lead the development and execution of departmental strategic plans and objectives, including resiliency and productivity improvements.

+ Innovate and implement continuous process improvements.

+ Serve as the subject matter expert, leading the design, development, testing, and debugging of application components. Guide the development team with technology direction and best practices.

+ Lead communication and collaboration with various teams and stakeholders, translating high-level vision into detailed design, coding, and testing requirements.

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

+ 8 or more years of experience designing, developing, and testing of software applications and/or infrastructure

+ 3 or more years of architecting solutions for medium to complex applications

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

+ Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

+ Experience in Java EE, Spring Boot, scalable REST API microservices, with a RDBMS backend of Oracle, SQL

+ Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, and use of Git

+ Analyze, design, code, test, debug, maintain, and document technical solutions

+ Lead communication and collaboration with various teams and stakeholders daily to work through Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

+ Understanding of performance testing, analysis, tuning, and optimization of REST API microservices

+ Able to draw information from multiple sources, determine key points, make relevant decisions, and communicate such information clearly and confidently

+ Perform code reviews collaboratively with other developers

+ Ability to translate high level vision into design, coding, and testing requirements to write and prioritize technical stories

+ Proactively seeks out ways to improve as an individual and as a team, able to lead and implement process or workflow changes as needed

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience in GraphQL schema design and implementation.

+ Data engineering experience, including designing and implementing data pipelines, data lakes, and datawarehouses.

+ Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solution Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect).

+ Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$104,800 – $144,300 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
