Job Description

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in LAKE FOREST, Illinois. The primary function of this role is to oversee financial records, manage customer inquiries, and process applications in an efficient manner. The successful candidate will be someone who can work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and has a strong understanding of accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the processing of customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

- Manage financial records, ensuring they are kept up-to-date and accurate

- Handle customer inquiries, providing timely and detail oriented responses

- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring prompt and accurate payment

- Perform cash flow analysis to monitor financial health and identify potential issues

- Utilize QuickBooks for financial management and reporting

- Handle payroll, including both union and non-union staff, using Paylocity

- Conduct regular reviews of subcontractor work, ensuring compliance and quality

- Prepare financial reports for union jobs, ensuring all necessary documentation is correctly processed. Requirements – Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

- Familiarity with Computerized Accounting Systems

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

- Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Ability to perform Cash Flow Analysis

- Proficiency in using QuickBooks and Paylocity

- Experience with Multi-state Payroll

- Knowledge of handling Payroll – Union

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion

- Excellent problem solving/judgement skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure

- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
