Facilities Repair Associate responsibilities:
Performs minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs and installations.
Performs routine maintenance and adjustments on kitchen and boiler equipment.
Completes preventive maintenance, tests and inspections on assigned equipment according to established schedules, and maintains related records and logs.
Leads and oversees work of assigned employees and client work crews, and monitors work performed by outside contractors.

Job Requirements:
Ability to repair and install equipment and machinery; basic knowledge of electric, plumbing, carpentry, refrigeration and heating trades; and ability to read and understand schematics and operating manuals, at a level normally acquired through completion of high school, and up to one year technical or vocational training in high school or beyond.
Knowledge of equipment repair and installation, preventive maintenance, building operations, and basic construction and renovation; and ability to work independently in troubleshooting and diagnosing a wide variety of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical problems; at a level normally acquired through two to three years progressively more responsible, related experience.
Analytical abilities necessary to plan and prioritize own work, complete project schedules and cost estimates, maintain required records and logs, and determine and find solutions to equipment malfunctions.
Interpersonal skills necessary to gather and exchange information with variety of staff. Depending on Center assigned, could require interpersonal skills necessary to lead and oversee the work of a lower-classified employee, and/or client work crews

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to twenty pounds on a daily basis, and up to fifty pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to walk and move about, stoop and bend in tight spaces.
Ability to reach and grab with arms and hands, and manual dexterity to operate hand and power tools with precision.
Ability to climb (ascend and descend) ladders and scaffolding.
Ability to push and/or pull mowers and other equipment, and tool and supply carts, on a regular basis.
Ability to maintain balance (body equilibrium) to prevent falling when walking on high or narrow surfaces.
Vision necessary to closely examine equipment parts and connections, and operating manuals and schematics; and to distinguish colored wires in electrical connections.
Normal hearing in order to detect equipment and motor malfunctions.
