Overview
Expected pay for this position is $32.87 - $43.02/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general direction of a radiologist and the manager of Medical Imaging, performs a variety of technical procedures, including mammography exams that may require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Demonstrates knowledge of proper imaging technique (i.e. positioning and technical factors) in special populations such as children, adults, elderly and patients in debilitating conditions. Provides care for patients and family/significant others across the lifespan based on physical, psychological, education, safety and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients served in all assigned areas.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
* Two years-experience in Radiologic Technology (Radiologic Technology school time will apply) * ARRT RT (R) (M) certified or ARRT RT (R) eligible (Must have credentials within 2 months of hire date) and subsequent ARRT RT (R)(M) eligibility (Must have credentials within 6 months of hire date)
* Current certification by the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS CPR, approved equivalent or scheduled class to be completed within 30 days of hire
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Current active ARRT (R) (M) certification * One year previous Mammography experience
