Job Summary

Criminal Justice Sciences seeks an exceptional individual to lead our required internship program. The successful applicant will have a focus on student development and an understanding of how to develop and maintain relationships with our justice related partners.

Responsibilities:

• Expand, establish, and maintain internship placements with criminal justice agencies, private industry, community partners, and non-profit organizations.
• Assist students in locating and applying for internships locally, nationally, and internationally.
• Place and supervise students enrolled in Professional Practice: Cooperative Education in Criminal Justice and Criminal Justice Internship I & II
• Complete and maintain all necessary paperwork associated with the student placement and supervision.
• Increase paid internship opportunities.
• Take a lead in coordinating and planning with CJS Recognized Student Organizations
• Coordinate with Career Services on Internship and Job fairs for CJS majors.
• Maintain internship data for use in assessments and evaluations of program.
• Other duties as assigned by the Chairperson.
