Position Summary

 

The Sr. Institutional Sales Officer will be responsible for collaborating with various groups within TCW to raise new assets from institutional investors in a designated regional territory. They will be responsible for systematically identifying and engaging with investors who are most likely to utilize TCW's solutions across private credit, public fixed income and public equity. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of providing exceptional, highly consultative sales efforts. They should be self-motivated, strategic and entrepreneurial. Exceptional collaboration is expected. 

 


Essential Duties

 

Secure new business directly from institutional prospects in close collaboration with Consultant Relations, Portfolio Specialist, and Product Services teams
Utilize consultative selling techniques to develop and manage meaningful relationships with institutional clients and prospects.
Actively develop client solutions, including providing input for new product ideas and business capabilities
Frequent business travel required

 


Required Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
At least 10 years industry experience with a minimum of 5 years of direct institutional sales experience
Proven track record in asset management institutional business development
Proven ability to understand and explain a wide range of public and private asset classes, strategies and products
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong strategic relationships, including a seasoned list of existing relationships with significant institutional investors

 


Professional Skills Qualifications

 

Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Strong initiative and self-starter
Ability to work in an exceptionally collaborative team environment
Proven ability to raise assets in private credit is highly desired
Demonstrable ability to discuss complex public fixed income strategies is highly desired

 


Desired Qualifications

 

CFA, CAIA and/or MBA strongly preferred
Estimated Compensation:
Base Salary: For NY based position, the base salary range is $250k - $300k. This is an anticipated range only.
Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
