Principle Consultant - Infosys Portland - JL6B
Location: Chicago, IL
In the role of principal consultant, you will be regarded as a strategic thought leader who moves the industry ahead, leads and participates actively in different phases of engagement including client identification, launch, delivery, and closure; helps establish client relationships, leads and contributes to conceptual innovative solutions, participate in and contribute to team-level, practice-level, organizational-level initiatives. You will be a true subject matter expert in a specific area within the procurement and supply chain space or a related field in Procurement Operations and Technology. While you may know, skills and abilities in a number of areas, you are prepared to and passionate about focusing on a specialty and can be considered as a leader in that field.
We are looking for leaders to join our digital procurement practice. High-performing procurement functions are enabled by technology and hyper-efficient operations so that procurement team members and their customers can quickly and easily do their jobs. Infosys Portland's digital procurement practice helps clients with all aspects of digitalizing procurement.
Requirements may include but not limited to:
- Develop offerings, frameworks, collateral, and tools.
- Educate and equip colleagues so that they can recognize opportunities for clients to benefit from this expertise and deliver outcomes.
- Support efforts to educate the market where appropriate as well as proposal development and service delivery by injecting expertise - typically across multiple projects concurrently.
- Digital procurement strategy
- Technology selection
- Implementation optimization
- Optimization / Remediation
Qualifications
Basic
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 6 years of relevant work experience in the job description
Preferred
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel analysis and communication in MSWord and MS PowerPoint
- Ability to be based out of our Chicago, IL office.
- Legally eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Ability to travel up to 80% of your time.
- Superior performance in relevant undergraduate studies (e.g. Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, etc.)
- Prior corporate experience, ideally within professional services and exposure to supply chain, procurement, operations, or strategy
