Position Overview

 

The End User Support Advanced Endpoint Engineer works with other infrastructure and server engineers to validate and test software deployment packages. They possess strong working knowledge and experience supporting desktop hardware and software. Providing escalation support to desktop technicians and Endpoint Engineers. This role requires moderate knowledge of application packaging, patching and deployment practices including reviewing log files for troubleshooting post deployment.

 

What Youll Do

  • Provide escalation support to Service Desk and End User Support leads when all troubleshooting options have been exhausted

  • Troubleshoot - new and existing packaging problems involving designs, materials and processes

  • Deployment Servers - Install, manage and troubleshoot Microsoft, Apple desktop OS systems including Android and iOS mobile platforms

  • Manage and support the patching console of 5500 plus endpoints throughout the enterprise

  • Create and manage enterprise collections (e.g. testing, exceptions and etc.) for deployments and patch cycles

  • Create, manage and test collections for Patching (e.g. 1st, 2nd and 3rd party) and application deployments

  • Advance knowledge of Apple device management tools for management and deployment of applications and patching including troubleshooting

 

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years Desktop Support, Field Support or related work experience

  • Intermediate understanding of SCCM/MECM/Intune and Windows patching processes

  • Intermediate knowledge of MacOS and iOS

  • Jamf knowledge (cert 200 or higher)

  • Scripting / automation (Python, Shell, Bash, PowerShell) with API experience
